About

Coastal Kent fencing, done properly.

Deal is a fishing town on the Kent coast. Georgian streetscape at Middle Street. A castle Henry VIII built. A shingle beach that runs to Sandwich Bay one way and Walmer the other. A Time Ball Tower on the seafront. The fencing here has to fit the town - heritage where the town is Georgian, coastal-spec where the salt air is on the boundary, standard Kent where the wind eases inland.

What I do

I fence and gate the CT14 postcode. Closeboard on concrete posts and gravel boards for the standard back-garden run. Cedar-clad and marine-grade-hardware for seafront and beach-front. Heritage picket for Middle Street and the Walmer streetscape. Concrete-post retrofit for the fifteen-year-old timber-post boundaries that are now failing. Pedestrian and driveway gates, priced from photos depending on spec.

How the pricing works

Send photos and a postcode for a fixed-price quote on straightforward runs. Once the price is agreed it is the price - if the ground turns out worse than the photos suggested, that is my problem. Larger scopes and Middle Street Conservation Area jobs need a short site visit first, still same-week.

What I do not do

Vinyl or plastic fencing - it does not fit the streetscape anywhere in Deal and it fails inside ten years. Bamboo screens - they last two winters on the coast. Free surveys followed by pressure sales - the quote is fixed-price, one price, take it or leave it. Anyone offering a rock-bottom fence panel install with no site visit and no photos is running a bait-and-switch; walk past it.

The promise

A proper job or you pay nothing. Fixed price quoted from photos. Photos on completion. That is the whole warranty.
