Closeboard on concrete posts and gravel boards is quoted from photos, supplied and fitted at 1.8m height. Beach-front and Kingsdown clifftop jobs cost more because post depths go to 750mm, hardware upgrades to hot-dip galv and stainless, and timber goes to UC4-graded posts. Straight boundary runs on Mill Hill and Sholden estates typically cost less.
Timber pedestrian gates range from a plain matchboarded gate on an existing post pair up to a heritage-picket painted gate with drop-bolt and slam catch. Metal pedestrian gates are priced by fabrication spec - powder-coat colour, decorative top rail, self-closing hinge kit. Driveway gates, single or double, vary widely because a matched pair of Cedar-clad five-bar gates with Bluetooth motor kit and drop-bolts is a different job from a plain metal five-bar.
Steel security fencing for commercial yards is powder-coated to spec and installed to a fixed price. Softwood and composite decking is priced depending on the sub-frame and the ground condition.
